GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Senior outside hitter Dani Nyenhuis was named Atlantic Coast Conference co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Nyenhuis had 50 kills, including a career-high 30 against Boston College, to lead the Carolina women's volleyball team to a weekend sweep that wrapped up the ACC title.

The St. Charles, Ill., product had double-doubles in wins over BC and Maryland, including 20 kills and 14 digs in a three-game sweep of the Terrapins. Carolina needed to win in three games to win the league's tiebreaker, and, in doing so, secured both the ACC title and the automatic NCAA berth. The Tar Heels will host the College of Charleston Friday at 5 p.m. in a first round match at the Smith Center.

Virginia Tech setter Melissa Markowski shared honors with Nyenhuis.
