The University of North Carolina volleyball team will host Miami and Florida State this weekend in a pair of matches that will go a long way in clearing the seeding picture in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels (16-12, 9-5 ACC) dropped contests to both the Hurricanes (14-8, 9-5) and the Seminoles (16-10, 7-7) earlier in the season, each defeat coming in four games. Miami is currently tied with UNC for second place in the league, and has not won a road match since an October 8 victory at Virginia. Florida State sits in a four-way tie for fifth place, but could potentially rise to as high as third will a good weekend performance. The Hurricanes are led by senior Valeria Tipiana, who ranks in the top 10 in the league in hitting, kills and aces. The Seminoles are led by senior Amanda Santos, who possesses the second-best hitting percentage in the ACC at .367.
