Volleyball Hosts Wachovia Challenge Attendance Event

Oct. 10, 2000

The Tar Heel volleyball team hosts the third Wachovia Challenge attendance event of the season on Friday, October 20 when they face ACC rival Florida State at 7 p.m. In the past two years, Wachovia has held 14 challenge attendance events, with 13 exceeding the attendance goal. The one event that did not meet the attendance goal occurred in January during one of the worst snowstorms in North Carolina's history.

An attendance goal of 400 has been set for the contest, which will be played at Carmichael Auditorium. The first 100 fans receive a free journal book.

The Tar Heels, the defending ACC Champions, are off to a wonderful start this year with a 16-3 record, including 6-0 in the ACC. Last weekend, Carolina defeated Maryland and Virginia.

Wachovia is proud to foster the growth of women's sports at UNC through its Wachovia World of Women's Sports.
