CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina Volleyball team kicks off the first weekend of ACC action at Carmichael Auditorium. Carolina will host Georgia Tech(9-3) Friday night (Sept. 22) at 7:00 p.m. and Clemson(4-7) on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Carolina is 10-2 this season coming off a win over East Carolina 3-0(15-6, 15-7, 15-4).

UNC leads their series against Georgia Tech 21-10 defeating the Yellow Jackets in both 1999 season match-ups.

Clemson faired slightly better last season with a 1-1 record against the Tar Heels during the regular season. Carolina defeated the Tigers at the ACC Tournament in Orlando,Fla. and took ACC Championships. This was the first ACC Championship win for the Tar Heels in 10 years.

Following this weekend's matches, the Tar Heels continue ACC play as they hit the road for a five game stint. Carolina volleyball returns to Chapel Hill Oct. 13 to face the Wake Forest Deacons.
