CHAPEL HILL -- The UNC Volleyball team swept Coastal Carolina (15-3, 16-14, 15-6) and Pittsburgh (15-7, 16-14, 15-6) in day one of its own Carolina Fall Preview Friday night at Carmichael Auditorium.

Freshman outside/middle hitterNicole Reis led the Heels to victory over Coastal Carolina with 14 kills, six digs and two blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Laura Greene contributed nine kills, nine digs and one block. Freshman setter Jen Schirner added 34 assists and seven digs.

This trio repeated their performance against Pittsburgh. Reis led with 14 kills, 10 digs and five blocks. Greene posted 14 kills and 11 digs and one block and Schirner produced 47 assists, eight digs and one block

The Carolina Fall Preview concludes Saturday, September 2 with Coastal vs. East Tennessee State at 10 am, Hofstra vs. Pittsburgh at 12:00 pm, Carolina vs. East Tennessee State at 2:30 pm, Pittsburgh vs. Coastal Carolina at 5:00 pm and Carolina vs. Hofstra at 7:30 pm.
