CHAPEL HILL - UNC volleyball kicks off the 2000 Season by hosting the Carolina Fall Preview on September 1-2. The Tar Heels will open with Coastal Carolina at 2:30 p.m. and also play Pittsburgh that night at 7:30. On Saturday, September 2, the team will face East Tennessee State at 2:30p.m. and Hofstra at 7:30 p.m.

Ranked as the pre-season favorite in the ACC coaches poll, and the defending ACC Champions, Carolina looks to continue on last season's success. The 1999 team lost three starters, however returning seniors Casey Simpson, Liz Feldman and Lisa Fryer will bring the experience needed to keep the team motivated during this strenuous tournament. The Tar Heels will also look to their younger players including sophomores Laura Greene and Eve Rackham, who both received All-ACC honors as freshman.

Admission is free to the public. Johnny T-shirt and Zero Subs, will be sponsoring contests and other give-away offers at the Carolina matches on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
