Greene Signs Professional Contract in France

Laura Greene, a 2003 North Carolina graduate, signed a professional contract to play volleyball in France. Greene will play with Racing Club Villebon starting August 16, 2003.

Greene signed a nine month contract through May 2004. Villebon won the Division I Championship in 2002-2003 in France as well as the European Championship last season. Greene will play outside hitter/swing hitter and primary passer for the club.

Greene became the first all-america in Carolina volleyball history in 2002. She is the career leader in digs and attempts. Greene was named 2002 ACC Player of the Year as well as earning a spot on the Verizon Academic All-District III squad.
