MARIBOR, Slovenia - The North Carolina volleyball team dropped the opening set of its match against the Slovenian Junior National team Tuesday in Murska Sobota, Slovenia before storming back for a 3-1 win. The victory was the team's second of the trip after taking all five sets against a Budapest club team on Sunday. The Tar Heels will return to action Wednesday when they take on the Croatian Junior National team Wednesday in Maribor, Slovenia.

The Tar Heels dropped the opening set of the match by a 25-19 margin before battling the Slovenian Junior National team into extra points in the second set. The Tar Heels gave away an early lead before battling back to tie things up before claiming a 28-26 victory and gaining momentum for the rest of the match.

A 25-16 set three win was the result of the momentum as the middle combination of Heather Brooks, Christine Vaughen and Ingrid Hanson-Tuntland delivered several kills in the match off the sets of Erica Behm.

A 2-1 advantage quickly turned the match towards the Tar Heels as they cruised to a 25-19 win in the fourth set and a 3-1 match win.

The win was the Tar Heels second of the trip after taking all five sets against Budapest club team, BSE. The scores in Sunday's match were 25-21, 25-18, 25-14, 25-20, 15-9.

Carolina will return to action Wednesday against the Croatian Junior National team in Maribor, Slovenia.
