UNC's Mojzis Advances At NCAA Championships

ATHENS, GA. - The University of North Carolina's Aniela Mojzis advanced to the second round of the singles draw of the 2004 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships Monday at Henry Feild Stadium on the University of Georgia campus. Mojzis, ranked 21st nationally, defeated Georgia Tech's Lyndsay Shosho, the nation's No. 67 player, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 Monday in the first round.

Mojzis, who defeated Shosho for the third time in the last six weeks, will play either Northwestern's Cristelle Grier or Stanford's Lauren Barnikow in the second round Tuesday. Grier and Barnkow started at 2:30 p.m. in singles on Monday. Grier is ranked No. 3 and Barnikow is ranked No. 56.
