DALLAS, Texas -

UNC freshman duo Aniela Mojzis and Kendall Cline fell Friday night in the consolation round of the Omni Hotels Intercollegiate Tennis Indoor National Championships after advancing to the second round Thursday night. The pair fell to Oklahoma State's Linda Faltynkova and Katie Kolodynska 8-5 after a three hour delay. The tandem of Mojzis and Cline was one of only 16 doubles teams across the country invited to play in the elite tournament.

After falling in the first round to Illinois State's Alesia Mikalaveva and Liina Suurvarik 9-7, Mojzis and Cline defeated Christina Campana and Annelise Rose of Florida International, 8-2 in first round consolation play on Thursday. The freshmen earned a spot in the tournament based on their performance at events earlier this year. They are expected to continue to develop as a strong doubles team as the season progresses.
