CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Duke's Vanessa Webb, the #2 seed, claimed the 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor singles championship Monday afternoon, defeating top-seeded Verban Mariel of Wake Forest, 6-4, 6-3 in the title match. The four-day tournament concluded on Monday at the University of North Carolina's Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

Duke's Kathy Sell, the tournament's #7 seed, won the consolation singles championship, defeating unseeded Courtney Zalinski of the University of North Carolina, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the consolation singles championship match.

The second-ranked Blue Devils made a clean sweep of the championships as top-seeded Karen Goldstein and Vanessa Webb of Duke defeated their teammates Megan Miller and Kathy Sell, the #2 seed, in the doubles final by a 9-8 score.
