All you need to know about a camp experience in The Southern Part of Heaven. NORTH CAROLINA SWIMMING CAMP "The Camp of Champions" The North Carolina Swimming Camp offers swimmers ages 9-18 a wide variety of training options with weekend or full week sessions. Overnight and Day Camp sessions will be held at the indoor 50-meter-by-25-yard Maurice J. Koury Natatorium on the beautiful campus of the University of North Carolina. Swimmers will be supervised 24 hours a day by coaches and counselors, including Tar Heel Head Coach Frank Comfort. In addition, campers will live in university dorms and eat meals at the UNC dining halls. Training sessions consist of multiple groups, based upon age and ability. Session include morning and afternoon training sessions, stroke technique instruction, flexibility, abdominal and strength developing exercises, dryland training sessions, visualization, sports medicine and academic awareness issues as well as organized social activities. As a special alternative for swimmers able to commute, Day Camp is available during the full week sessions. Day camp begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at approximately 5:00 p.m. Day campers must provide their own transportation to and from the campus. Day campers will eat lunch at the UNC dining halls. Those interested in attending must pre-register via application with a nonrefundable deposit of $150 by May 10. The balance is due by May 24. Depending upon space available, applications including the full payment may be accepted after May 24. Please make checks payable to North Carolina Swimming Camp.
