Top 10 Battle Shapes Up on Senior Night for Women's Soccer

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Two of the nation's best women's soccer teams will hook up Friday night at Fetzer Field at No. 4 North Carolina hosts No. 6 Virginia. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The game will be played on Homecoming weekend and all football season ticket holders can use their vouchers received in their season ticket packages in August to attend the game free of charge. UNC Faculty, Staff and Students can gain free admission with their UNC One Card.

Tickets prices for the general public are $5 for adults, $3 for student and $ for children.

The Tar Heels have already clinched the ACC regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in next week's ACC Tournament with 24 points in the league standings. Virginia and Florida State are in a tight battle for second place with the Cavaliers at 18 points and the Seminoles at 17.

UNC is 14-3 overall and has won seven straight matches after dropping as low as No. 15 in the Soccer America poll on October 1. The Cavaliers are 11-2-4 and 5-1-3 in the ACC. The Tar Heels are 8-1 in ACC play.

Current rankings in the NSCAA coaches poll have Carolina fourth and Virginia sixth. In Soccer America UNC is fourth and Virginia seventh. In Soccer Buzz, Virginia is No. 5 and Carolina is No. 6.

Six Carolina seniors will be honored in pregame introductions including senior captains Jessica Maxwell and Robyn Gayle as well as starting defender Ariel Harris, forwards Jaime Gilbert and Katie Brooks and midfielder Julie Yates.
