         <description><![CDATA[Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) today announced the first group of players who have accepted invitations to the WPS West Coast and East Coast Combines held Dec. 11-14 (San Diego, Calif.) and Dec. 18-21 (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.). Invites to the invitation-only combines were made through a careful selection process done by the WPS Coaches Committee. In total, up to a maximum of 144 players will participate in the WPS Combines; no more than 72 at each location. More confirmed attendees will be announced in the coming weeks. Among the attendees already confirmed are three student-athletes who attended Carolina -- goalkeeper Jenni Branam, Class of 2003, midfielder Maggie Tomecka, Class of 2004, and defender Ariel Harris, Class of 2008.]]></description>

Heath's goal in the 66th minute, off an assist by sophomore forward Meghan Klingenberg, allowed the Tar Heels to move on to the ACC Tournament semifinals for the 21st successive year. UNC will meet Boston College in the ACC semifinals Friday at 5 p.m. at Wake Med Soccer Park.]]></description>
