    GREENSBORO, N.C. - Pairings for the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship have been determined, as announced by the league office on April 19. Fifth-seeded North Carolina will play fourth-seeded Boston College on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Charlottesville, Va.

    Maryland locked in the number one seed in the upcoming ACC three-day tournament, which will take place on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., after the third-ranked Terrapins defeated Virginia Tech Saturday afternoon.

    Maryland, which owns a 4-1 league mark and earned a first-round bye, will take on the winner of No. 5 seed Carolina and No. 4 seed Boston College on Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. ET in semifinal action of the annual ACC Tournament.

    Opening round action will take place on Thursday afternoon at UVa's Scott Stadium as No. 3 seed Duke faces No. 6 seed Virginia Tech at 1 p.m. and No. 5 seed North Carolina squares off against No. 4 seed Boston College in a 3:30 tilt.

    Carolina will complete its 2008 regular season when it plays on the road later today at Northwestern.
