CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - For the second time this season University of North Carolina gymnast Brooke Wilson was named the EAGL gymnast of the week. Wilson claimed the honor after winning her eighth all-around title of the season in the Heels' last home meet of the year against Towson and Rhode Island. She had previously been named gymanst of the week of Jan. 25.

Wilson led the Tar Heels to a school record 195.05 team score as UNC closed out the regular season with a double win over Towson and Rhode Island. In the win, Wilson broke her own school record in the all-around with a 39.2 score. She also took first on the beam (9.9) and was third in vault (9.8), bars (9.7) and floor (9.8). Earlier in the week, she took second in the all-around with a 39.075 score at North Carolina State. At NC State she was also second on floor (9.85) and vault (9.8).

The meet at home last weekend gave the Tar Heels a record 17 wins in one season as the team finished the regular season with a 17-5 mark. The Heels also remained undefeated Carmichael Auditorium for the first time in the program's history finishing 6-0.
