Diane Dorney Whittier enters her first season as North Carolina's volunteer assistant coach. Whittier lettered for the Tar Heels in 1996 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication studies. She also has a master of education degree from Clemson. Dorney Whittier will be assisting the Tar Heels primarily in the areas of dance and choreography. Her enthusiasm and artistic perspective are a wonderful compliment to the team. In addition to assisting with the Carolina gymnastics program, Dorney Whittier is the assistant director of enrichment and advising for the Morehead-Cain Foundation. She and her husband, Donald, reside in CHapel Hill only a few blocks from campus. |
