UNC Women's Golf Team Honored By NCAA For Academic Progress Rate

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina women's golf team received the NCAA's Public Recognition Award for having an Academic Prrogress Rate in the top 10 percent nationally for women's golf.

Three Tar Heels, Sydney Crane, Ann Laney and Katie Miller, were selected to the 2007 All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team. In addition, eight Tar Heel women's golfers were named to the 2007 ACC Honor Roll - Shannon Boyle, Crane, Lauren Hunt, Laney, Colette Lowe, Miller, Kate Thomas and Brittany Walker. Miller was a 2007 Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship recipient.

The other Tar Heel teams recognized for their Academic Progress Rate are baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, men's and women's fencing.
