2009 UNC Golf Camp Brochure and Waiver in PDF Format
When: June 28-July 2, 2009 Join other girls from accross the country in the Southern Part of Heaven for expert skills instruction, mental preparation and fun! The Tar Heel Golf Camp is designed for young golfers of all abilities from beginner to advanced. The focus of the school will be on the total golf "package", from the long game to the short game, putting, and the all-important mental side of golf. Our curriculum will include instruction on course management techniques, drills to reinforce solid fundamentals, and we will stress the fact that golf is fun and can be enjoyed for life. In addition to North Carolina Head Coach Sally Austin, the instructors include North Carolina Assistant Head Coach Patricia Earley, NC State Head Coach Page Marsh, Oregon State Head Coach Rise Lakowske and Florida Assistant Coach Robin Walton. Our mission is simple: to create a dynamic, fun learning environment that will help young players to reach their full potential and give them a competitive edge in the game of golf.
Camp Staff: Carolina Assistant Head Coach Patricia Earley is in her sixth year with the Tar Heels. Martinson, an LPGA Class B teaching professional, teams up with head coach Sally Austin in running the day-to-day operations of the women's golf program in addition to her on-course duties as coach and instructor. Martinson, two-time Big South Player of the Year, joined the Tar Heels after playing on the Futures Golf Tour in 2002 and 2003.
