Carolina's Lauren Hunt Moves Up To A Tie For Fifth at Harder Hall

SEBRING, FLA. - University of North Carolina golfer Lauren Hunt moved from eighth to fifth place with one round left to play at the 53rd Harder Hall Women's Invitational. Hunt, a junior from Little River, S.C., fired a one-under-par 71 in Saturday's third round and is tied with two other golfers for fifth place in the championship flight with a 222 total. Hunt carded rounds of 78-73 the first two days. Senior Ann Laney, also playing in the championship flight, fired a 78 in the third round and stands in 21st place with a 233 total. Laney, from Charlotte, N.C., carded 81-74 in the first two rounds. Another Tar Heel, junior Sydney Crane, enters the final round in third place of the second flight with a 243 total. Crane, the leader of the second flight entering Saturday's third round, fired a three-over 75 and slipped two spots to third. Crane, from Jamestown, N.C., shot 85-83 in the first two rounds. The final round of the 72-hole event will be played Sunday at Harder Hall Country Club which features a par 72, 6,151-yard layout.
