McKevitt Leads Heels With 156

Athens, G.A. - North Carolina's women's golf team is in fifteenth place at 647 after two rounds at this weekend's Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic. Duke leads the field of 18 at 594, while the University of Georgia is in second place 11 shots back at 605. Texas sits in third place with a two round total of 606, while Vanderbilt and Alabama round out the top five at 615 and 616 respectively. Individually, Randi Meadows of Texas leads the field at one-under-par 143. Paula Carter of Alabama and Reiley Rrankin of Georgia are knotted in second place at three-over-par 147. Kalen Anderson and Vira Nirapathpongporn of Duke and Janice Olivencia of Texas are all tied in third place, five shots back of the lead at four-over-par 148. For the Tar Heels, junior Shelley McKevitt leads the way as she is tied for 32nd place after a two-round total of 12-over-par 156. Freshman Ashley Prange is tied for 41st place at 158, while Beth Lever is tied for 72nd place at 166. Heather Angell rounds out the Tar Heels in 87th place at 170. The final round will be played Sunday at The University of Georgia Golf Course, which features a par 72, 6,104 yard layout.
