North Carolina Women's Golf Sitting In Ninth At Lady Gamecock Classic

North Carolina's women's golf team is in ninth place with a 632 total after two rounds of the Lady Gamecock Classic. The University of Georgia leads the field of 11 teams with a 589 total. Duke stands in second place with a two-day total of 591, while Louisiana State is in third at 601. Tournament host South Carolina and Wake Forest are knotted in fourth place at 620. Individually, Katy Harris and Meredith Duncan from LSU are tied for first place at one-over-par 145. Kristy McPherson of South Carolina, Summer Sirmons and Angela Jerman of Georgia, and Jennifer Perri of Furman are all tied for third just one shot back at two-over-par 146. For the Tar Heels, Beth Lever led the way firing a second round 75, leaving her tied for 20th place at ten-over-par 154. Ashley Prange carded a second round 76 finishing the second round tied for 22 at 11-over-par 155. Shelley McKevitt is tied for 32nd at 17-over-par 161, while Heather Angell is tied for 36th place with a two day total of 162. Britta Olson rounds out the Tar Heels tied for 50th place at 168.
