Penn State Game Time Moved

Oct. 24, 2005

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The start time for the North Carolina-Penn State field hockey game at Francis E. Henry Stadium on Oct. 30 has been moved up one hour to noon. The game was originally set for 1 p.m. but has been shifted due to Penn State's travel schedule.

The contest is the final game of the regular season for UNC, which will honor Katy Tran and Naomi Weatherald in Senior Day ceremonies before the game. The fourth-ranked Tar Heels are 12-4 on the season heading into Saturday's game at No. 7 Old Dominion. Penn State is currently ranked No. 6.

Sunday's game also will feature Halloween celebrations and several special groups in attendance. Members of the Carolina Kids Club will participate in a halftime costume contest, then trick or treat around the field with UNC players following the game. Members of the Carolina Athletic Association also will participate in the costume contest, which is open to any fans who would like to attend the game in costume. Additionally, a group of children who are being treated at the North Carolina Children's Hospital will attend the game with the Tar Heel women's golf team as part of the Carolina Dreams program.
