North Carolina's results for Saturday, Day 1 of the Aramark South/Central Sprints in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

  • Open four: Placed fifth in its heat in a time of 8:28.2 to advance to Final C.
  • Novice eight: Placed sixth in its heat (7:20.3) to advance to the repechage; Placed fifth in the repechage (7:55.13) to reach Final B
  • Second varsity eight: Placed fifth in its heat (7:33.8) to advance to the C/D semifinals; Placed third in the C/D semifinal (7:37.60) to reach Final C.
  • Varsity eight: Placed fifth in its heat (7:24.9) to advance to the C/D semifinals; Played fourth in the semifinal (7:14.81) to reach the D Final.
