J.T.'s Journal: Dec. 20, 2002

Dec. 20, 2002

Throughout the 2002-03 season, senior forward Jennifer Thomas will provide TarHeelBlue.com readers with an inside look at the Carolina women's basketball program. This installment is her fifth of the season.

Hey Tar Heel fans!!

I know it's been a long time, but I'm back! Since we've returned from Hawaii, things have been pretty hectic. Not only did we have exams to study for, we also had games to win. But, we (the team) did a great job of performing on the court as well as in the classroom.

These past two weeks were so hectic I almost forgot that X-mas was around the corner. Speaking of X-mas, everyone is really excited to get home and see their families. Liz Coughran was so excited to see her newborn nephew that she skipped town early! Just kidding - she had to get home to California to see her doctor so that she could get a check-up and her rehab in for her knee.

Even though X-mas is approaching, we have some unfinished business we have to take care of, and that is beating the South Carolina Gamecocks. We play that game tonight in Myrtle Beach, S.C. So when Santa asks me what I want for X-mas, I just think ... those Gamecocks!

Well, it's time for me to focus on a victory tonight. On that note, I would like to wish everyone Merry X-mas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanzaa!!
