Postcard from Europe: La'Tangela Atkinson

Athens, Greece
As we began our journey from Rome to Athens, there were some interesting things along the way that made travel difficult. At the airport in Rome, you have a certain amount of kilos allowed for one person's baggage. Being basketball players, we have big bags for our shoes, braces and clothes. Per person, you had to have no more than 30-35 kilos, so we had a hard time trying to communicate with the employee and understanding what was wrong. When we got everything done and got on the way, we headed to Athens, which was a one-hour-and-30-minute flight. We arrived in Athens then drove 45 minutes to our hotel, Electra Palace. We went to dinner and it was actually good enough for the team (very picky). Then we had free time until curfew at midnight - we have a game tomorrow at 6:45 p.m. against the Greek National Team. It was a great day, considering that we traveled (because traveling sometimes makes us tired and lazy).
