Sutton To Take Part In WNBA Pre-Draft Camp

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina center Candace Sutton is one of 25 players set to participate in this week's WNBA Pre-Draft Camp, April 7 and 8 at the Madison Square Garden Training Center in Tarrytown, N.Y. The two-day combine will be attended by representatives from all 13 WNBA teams. The WNBA Draft is scheduled for April 17.

Sutton, a 6-6 player from Kettering, Md., ranks second on Carolina's career blocked shots list and seventh in ACC history with a total of 208 blocks. A four-year starter for UNC and team captain as a senior, she averaged 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds over her career.

The WNBA tips off its eighth season on May 20.
