ST. LOUIS --- North Carolina senior forward Erlana Larkins was one of ten players named to the 2007-08 U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-America Team, the organization announced this week. Larkins, a first-team All-ACC selection, joins Tracy Reid (1997, 1998) and Ivory Latta (2006, 2007) as the only Tar Heels to be honored in the 12-year history of the team.

Larkins, who has also earned second-team All-America honors from the AP and ESPN.com, led UNC to a 33-3 record, a perfect run through the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and a fourth-straight ACC Tournament title. The Riviera Beach, Fla., product averaged 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest this season in leading Carolina to the Elite Eight.
