The University of North Carolina wrestling team is ranked 25th in this week's NWCA/TheMat.com poll. Coach Bill Lam's squad enters the poll after strong showings at the Las Vegas Invitational, Cornell Invitational and VerticalNet Open.

The Tar Heels return to action on Dec. 29-30, traveling to Chicago for the Midlands Invitational. The first dual meet of the season is Jan. 7 in Chapel Hill against Lehigh.
