Redshirts Shine At Millersville Tourney

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Competing unattached, North Carolina redshirts Mike Robinson, Mike Rappo and Alex Maciag each posted two-two finishes at last weekend's Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic at Millersville University's Pucillo Gymnasium. Robinson and Rappo captured titles at 125 and 149 pounds, respectively, while Maciag was second at 184.

Robinson cruised through his first four bouts before posting a 5-3 decision over American's Jasen Borshoff in the final, while Rappo logged a pin and a major decision in his first two matches and clipped Penn State's Tim Darling in the final by a 5-2 margin.

Maciag won three straight decisions en route to the final where the lost to Virginia Tech's Matt Ryan, 3-0.
