The UNC wrestling team defeated Drexel 26-8 Saturday evening in Philadelphia. The Tar Heels improve to 12-5 with the victory.

Matt Kenny (Hwt.) returned to the lineup for UNC coach Bill Lam and responded with an 11-3 major decision over Mike Carroll. Carolina teammate Chris DiGuiseppe also won by major decision, beating Mike Wernett 14-3 at 165 pounds.

UNC's Dusty Heist won by a technical fall in 5:40 over Xenio Yearwood at 184 pounds, and Brad Byers (141 pounds) won by medical default over Bill Heverly in 5:00.

Winning by decision for the Tar Heels were, Chris Rodrigues (125 pounds), Evan Sola (133 pounds), Mike Booth (149 pounds) and James O'Connor (157 pounds).
