2006-07: Started the season at 141 pounds but finished as the Tar Heels' starter at 149 • Posted a 16-10 overall record, including a 10-6 mark at 149 • Went 8-7 in dual action and 4-2 versus the ACC • Earned all-conference honors for the second straight season with a runner-up finish at the ACC Championships • Defeated Virginia Tech's A.J. 2005-06: Posted a 37-9 record as the Tar Heels' starter at 141 pounds • Tied for the seventh-most victories in Carolina history • Earned All-ACC honors with a runner-up finish at the conference championships • Received an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships where he went 0-2 • Recorded a 20-1 mark in duals and was 6-0 versus the ACC • Notched nine major decisions, five pins and four technical falls on the season • Posted major decision wins over Jalil Dozier of NC State (12-0) and Nick Alparone of Virginia (8-0) before falling to Virginia Tech's David Hoffman (10-6) in the ACC final • Won 17 straight bouts before the loss to Hoffman • Also placed first at the Carolina Open, third at the Nittany Lion Open and fourth at the East Stroudsburg Open • Named ACC Wrestler of the Week Nov. 28, following his Carolina Open title, and Feb. 6, after dual wins over Duke and Virginia Tech.

2004-05: Redshirt season • Wrestling unattached, went 3-2 at the East Stroudsburg Open to place eighth at 141.
