2008-09: Went 15-15 on the season • The Tar Heels' starter at 174 pounds for much of the season, including the ACC Championships • Logged a 6-7 dual record, including a 1-2 mark in the ACC • Placed third at the Wolfpack Open with a 5-1 record • Took eighth at the Southern Scuffle with a 3-3 mark • Won only two matches at 184 pounds in duals against Belmont Abbey and Davidson. 2007-08: Logged a 10-8 mark at 157 pounds • Went 1-2 in duals and 0-1 versus the ACC • Posted three major decision victories • Placed seventh at 157 at the Southern Scuffle after recording a 4-2 record at the event • Saw action in duals against Brown, Oklahoma and Maryland. 2006-07: Carolina's starter at 157 pounds • Finished 16-13 overall with a 6-7 record in duals • Went 3-2 against the ACC • Placed third at the ACC Championships with victories over Virginia's Mike Sewell (4-3) and Maryland's Mike McGill (9-8) after an opening round loss • Also took seventh at the Michigan State Open • Wrestled one match at 165 and posted a win over Northern Colorado's Devan Lewis at the Lone Star Duals. 2005-06 (At Old Dominion): Redshirt season • Went 7-6 in tournament action. Prep: Three-time Georgia state champion at Harrison High School • Two-time USA Wrestling All-America • Freestyle national runner-up in 2003 and freestyle All-America in 2005 • Posted a 222-6 overall record at Harrison • Two-time team captain • Dave Schultz Award winner • Nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award.
