Trio Of Tar Heels Named To 2006 All-ACC Academic Men's Tennis Team
June 29, 2006 GREENSBORO, N.C. - Six All-Americas and seven All-Atlantic Coast Conference performers highlight the inaugural All-ACC Academic Men's Tennis Team, as announced Thursday by Commissioner John D. Swofford. North Carolina's Raian Luchici, Sebastian Guejman and Benjamin Carlotti were amongst the honorees. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career. ACC champion Duke placed a league-high six members on the team. NCAA quarterfinalist Virginia and North Carolina, which reached the NCAA round of 16, each placed three student-athletes on the squad. ITA National Senior Player of the Year and singles and doubles All-American Raian Luchici leads the way for the Tar Heels.
