Oct. 20, 2008

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina senior forward Brian Shriver was honored by TopDrawerSoccer.com for the second straight week with a spot on the website's Men's College Soccer National Team of the Week. Shriver led the Tar Heels to an unbeaten week with three goals in wins over William & Mary and Virginia Tech.

Shriver, who leads the Atlantic Coast Conference with 12 goals this season, scored twice in Tuesday's 4-1 win over William & Mary. The Clearwater, Fla., product netted Carolina's first two scores against the Tribe, including his ACC-best fourth game-winner in the 39th minute.

In Saturday's victory over Virginia Tech, Shriver buried the Tar Heels' second goal in the 43rd minute.

Shriver, who has three multi-goal games in the Tar Heels' last six contests, leads UNC with 25 points on 12 goals and an assist.
