Sophomore - 2007 Season
Played in 20 games and made 17 starts at forward • Finished with a team-high 17 points off six goals and five assists • Also led the Tar Heels in goals and shared the team lead in assists • Tallied a team-high three game-winning goals • Scored two goals in a 3-0 win over No. 16 Akron Sept. 9 to earn a spot on the Wake Forest adidas Classic All-Tournament Team • Netted the lone goal in 72nd minute in a 1-0 win at rival NC State Sept. 15 • Scored two goals in a 3-2 victory over Clemson Oct. 28 • Also scored in the 7-1 win over Liberty Oct. 2 • Added an assist to Michael Callahan in a 1-0 win over No. 20 Duke Nov. 14 in the ACC Tournament • Also tallied assists against Old Dominion, Boston College, High Point and Maryland • Took 29 shots on the season and put 16 on goal • Named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third team and the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III first team • Member of the All-ACC Academic Team for men's soccer • Earned a spot on the Dean's List in both semesters • Member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll • Claimed the team's Most Competitive Player Award.
Freshman - 2006 Season
Played in all 20 matches and started 14 at forward • Named to the ACC's All-Freshman Team and the league's All-Academic Team for men's soccer • Posted seven points on two goals and three assists • First collegiate score was the game-winner against Elon Sept. 26 • Also scored the first goal of the Sept. 29 win over Virginia Tech • Was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week Oct. 2 for his efforts • Picked up assists in key conference games against Virginia, Maryland and Boston College • Took 21 shots, including a season-high four against High Point Oct. 3 • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and earned Dean's List honors for both the fall and spring semesters.
Prep - Randolph School
One of the top prep forwards in the nation • Attended the Randolph School in Huntsville, Ala., and played club soccer with the Dallas Texans • Earned the Golden Boot Award at the 2005 adidas Elite Soccer Program as the top player at the event • Also claimed NSCAA/adidas Youth All-America honors in 2005 • Named to the U.S. Under-20 camp to prep for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup • Led the Dallas Texans to the 2005 national title and the 2006 Dallas Cup Super Group championship • Member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Cum Laude Society • National Merit Scholarship finalist.
