Junior - 2008 Season
Versatile performer started 23 games at forward and defender • Returned to outside back for the final six games, helping to key a strong defensive effort in the postseason • Finished the season second on the squad with 18 points on seven goals and four assists • Named to the ACC All-Academic Team • After sliding to the backline prior to the ACC Tournament match with Maryland, helped Carolina post three shutouts and allow just four goals over the final six matches • Posted a career-best five points on two goals and an assist against East Tennessee State Sept. 27 • Had two assists against UNC Asheville Sept. 30 • Opened the season with a goal and an assist versus Florida International Aug. 29 • Followed with a pair of goals, including the game-winner, against South Carolina Sept. 5 • Named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week following his performance against the Gamecocks • Earned spots on all-tournament teams for the Carolina Nike Classic and the Deacon Fall Classic • Also found the back of the net versus Liberty Sept. 16 and No. 16 Boston College Sept. 19 • Took 48 shots and put 21 on frame • Earned a spot on the Dean's List for the Spring 2009 semester.
Sophomore - 2007 Season
Played in 20 games and made 19 starts at defender • Also added a scoring punch when shifted up front • Finished with seven points coming from two goals and three assists • Tallied four points in a 4-0 win over High Point Oct. 23 off two assists and a penalty kick goal • Scored lone goal in a 2-1 loss against Campbell Oct. 30 • Added an assist in a 2-1 loss to Maryland Nov. 9 • Took 21 shots on the season, putting seven shots on goal • Named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III first team • Earned Dean's List honors in the Spring 2008 semester • Key part of a defense that posted a 0.93 goals against average and allowed only 20 goals on the year.
Freshman - 2006 Season
Played in 19 matches and started three • Tallied five points on two goals and an assist • Connected on two of eight shots to lead the team in shot percentage at .250 • First career goal was the game-winner against No. 1 Virginia Sept. 22 in the 76th minute • The 18-yard strike came just 44 seconds after he entered the match • Also scored against High Point Oct. 3 • Lone assist came against VCU Sept. 19 • Started twice in the midfield and also started at outside back against VCU in place of Michael Harrington • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and earned Dean's List honors from UNC in both semesters.
Prep - Gaither High School
Earned Parade All-America honors in 2005 and 2006 at Gaither High School • Member of the U.S. Under-17 National Team and helped the squad earn a spot at the 2005 Under-17 World Cup • Was a part of the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Residency Program for 2004-05 • Scored game-winning goal against Canada in first-ever Under-17 match • Also selected as an NSCAA/adidas Youth All-America • Named St. Petersburg Times Player of the Year • All-State and all-county selection • Played club soccer with Hillsborough County United and captured several team titles • Graduated from high school in three years with a 3.9 grade point average • Also played football for one season.
