Men's Lacrosse Votes For Quad-Captains In 2009

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team voted for its 2009 team captains Wednesday afternoon and in the process four veteran senior leaders were tapped to pilot their teammates towards success in Coach Joe Breschi's first season at the helm as head mentor. The 2009 season begins February 7 at Fetzer Field versus Robert Morris in a noon start.

The 2009 captains as voted by the team, all of whom received a minimum of 50 percent of the votes with players allowed to designate up to four individuals on their ballots, are senior midfielder Ben Hunt of Arnold, Md., senior midfielder Bobby McAuley of Hicksville, N.Y., senior defenseman Jack Ryan of Darien, Conn., and senior goalkeeper Grant Zimmerman of Cockeysville, Md.
