Podcasting Lacrosse's Ryan Flanagan

Sept. 26, 2008

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Friday's weekly podcast with a University of North Carolina men's lacrosse player featured sophomore defenseman Ryan Flanagan of West Islip, N.Y. Flanagan saw a good deal of playing time as a freshman as both a close defenseman, man-down defensive stalwart and long-stick defensive midfielder.

Flanagan was honored with All-ACC Academic Honors for men's lacrosse last year and was a member of the 2007-08 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

The sophomore talks about his recruiting process, his New York sports allegiances, first impressions, his opinion of his quirkiest teammate and how he earned his new uniform number.
