CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina announced a 10-member recruiting class for its men's lacrosse program Sunday. These prospective student-athletes will enroll at UNC in August 2008. The student-athletes hail from six different states with three players from Maryland and two each from Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

The North Carolina Class of 2012 includes:

Thomas Wood, Attackman, Dallas, Texas, The Collegiate School (Richmond, Va.)

Charlie McComas, Defenseman, Baltimore, Md., Boys' Latin School

Matt Conte, Midfielder, Thornton, Pa., Malvern Prep

Chris Layne, Midfielder, Downington, Pa., Malvern Prep

Gray Smith, Defenseman, Winston-Salem, N.C., Forsyth Country Day School

Logan Corey, Midfielder, Chapel Hill, N.C., Chapel Hill High School
