General: Entering his third year as a starting attackman in 2009...two-time letterman who has had a pair magnificent years for the Tar Heels...was redshirted during the 2006 season after he underwent knee surgery less than two weeks before Carolina's season opener against Ohio State thatyear...the surgery was done to correct chronic knee issues...still has two years of eligibility left at Carolina heading into 2009...a player with the total game who fulfills all the attackman's roles well...has an outstanding shot and great hands.

2008 Season (Redshirt Sophomore): Ranked third on the team in scoring with 25 points...was the team's second most proficient goal scorer with 19...started all 14 games...had six assists...also had 18 ground balls...named to 2007-08 ACC Academic Honor Roll...selected for Dean's List in fall 2007 semester...played particularly well at the end of the year with 13 goals in the final five games of the campaign...had at least one point in 12 of 14 games last season...had a season-high five points against Hofstra with a season-high four goals and an assist...had hat tricks against both Ohio State and Navy...had a three-point game against Bellarmine with a goal and a season-high two assists...scored two goals each in games against Denver and Virginia and had a goal and an assist versus Cornell...had the game-winning goal against Marist.
