General: Two-time returning letterman who is an outstanding long-stick defensive midfielder...will be one of the top options in the rotation for the Tar Heels at that position...a big, rangy defenseman...disruptive to the other team's offense with his speed, stick skills and amazing wing span...a member of the Carolina Leadership Academy...member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity...also an outstanding student. 2008 Season (Sophomore): Played in all 14 games for the Tar Heels and started three times on the wing on face-offs against Notre Dame, Providence and Duke...had six ground balls and five caused turnovers...his best game came against Notre Dame with season highs in ground balls and caused turnovers with two each...named to 2007-08 ACC Academic Honor Roll. 2007 Season (Freshman): Had an outstanding freshman year on the field and in the classroom...he played in all 16 games and started the first 12 matches of the season...scored a goal against Denver and assisted on a goal against Duke...had a season-high three ground balls against both Ohio State and Virginia...his season-high for caused turnovers was three against Notre Dame...had 13 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers...he ranked third on the team in caused turnovers behind Tim Kaiser and Ben Staines...named to the UNC Dean's List in the fall semester of 2006...member of ACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team...named to 2006-07 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
