General: A returning letterman who is likely to move into a starting position on close defense in 2009...preseason honorable mention All-America on defense in 2009 as named by Face-Off Yearbook and Inside Lacrosse...Carolina's most imposing physical player at 6-6, 237...looking for a breakout season...great one-on-one defender with tremendous stick skills and clearing ability...was one of tne of the top high school defensemen in the Class of 2007...a late commitment to the Tar Heel program...was invited to US Lacrosse U19 National Team training camp.

2008 Season (Freshman): Played in 14 games as a freshman...started the last 11 games of the season as the long-stick wing on the face-off...scored the first goal of his career on a fast break situation against Marist...had 22 ground balls including a season high four against Providence...had seven caused turnovers, including two each against Notre Dame and Virginia...named to 2008 ACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team...earned Dean's List accolades in spring semester 2008...qualified for 2007-08 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
