CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-- University of North Carolina head football coach John Bunting announced on Wednesday that defensive tackles coach Rod Broadway has been dismissed from the Tar Heel coaching staff.

"I appreciate the hard work, loyalty and dedication Rod has given to Carolina football over the last two seasons," Bunting said. "However, I decided we needed to make a change at this position."

Broadway coached the last two seasons at Carolina following a six-year stint at the University of Florida from 1995-2000. A 1977 graduate of UNC, Broadway previously coached at East Carolina (1979-80) and Duke (1981-94).
