On 3rd-and-seven from the NC28, Matt Baker (7) is stopped by Alfred Williams (56) for no gain, forcing a punt to the DU37.

Cedrick Holt (13) breaks up a deep pass intended for Eron Riley (15) from the NC40 on Duke's ensuing possession.

Later in the drive, on 3rd-and-seven from the NC37, Zack Asack (13) hits Marcus Jones (6) for a 12-yard gain and a first down at the NC25.

After Duke picks up a first down on the NC4, Requan Boyette (21) is stopped on 2nd-and goal from the NC3 for a two-yard gain to the NC1.

On 3rd-and-goal from the NC1, Boyette (21) carries again...

...and is stopped by Durell Mapp (48) and Jeff Longhany (52) for no gain.

The Tar Heels defense gathers around as Duke takes a time-out to decide on a play.

On 4th-and-goal from the NC1...

...Requan Boyette (21) carries for the fourth consecutive play...

...and is stopped by Durell Mapp (48) and Tommy Davis (80) just short of the goal...

...to cap off a great goal-line stand by the defense.

The referee signals that it's Carolina's ball on the NC1.

After Carolina goes three-and-out, Chris Davis (27) returns a punt ten yards to the NC41.

On the first play of Duke's drive, Durell Mapp (48) tackles Andy Roland (89) for a 17-yard pass to the NC24.

One play later, Ronnie Drummer (40) scores on a reverse for a 24-yard TD that gave Duke a 21-17 lead with 05:02 left in the game.
