Facing 4th-and-six from the MD21, the Tar Heels are forced to try a 38-yard Connor Barth (10) field goal attempt...

 ...which sailed wide to the right, giving Maryland a 33-30 victory.

 Jarwarski Pollock (5) caught a season-high six passes for 74 yards, giving him 169 career receptions to break Na Brown's previous record of 165 from 1995-98.
Kareen Taylor (27) had three solo and eight assisted tackles as well as returning an interception 25 yards for a TD.

 Mike Mason (2) had three catches for 72 yards, including a 44-catch and a 19-yard TD.

 Carolina falls to 4-5 overall, 3-3 in the ACC. Maryland improves to 5-4, 3-3 in the ACC. Coach Bunting and the Tar Heels will face Duke next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Kenan Stadium.
