Former Tar Heels Alge Crumpler and David Thornton improved Tennessee to 5-0 Sunday, in a 13-10 win over the Ravens. Crumpler caught a touchdown pass and Thornton led the defense in the win. In other action, Madison Hedgecock helped the Giants improve to 5-0 and rush for over 200 yards in 44-6 rout of Seattle.

Sam Aiken, New England - In his sixth year as a pro, his first with the Patriots, the wide receiver played special teams in 31-20 win over San Francisco.

Ethan Albright, Washington - 37-year-old veteran deep snapper helped Redskins convert two field goals in 23-17 win over Eagles.

Kentwan Balmer, San Francisco - Rookie defensive end did not record a tackle in 31-20 loss against Patriots Sunday.

Dre' Bly, Denver - 10-year veteran defensive back recorded four tackles in 16-13 win over Tampa Bay.

Jason Brown, Baltimore - Center, who started all 16 games, last year at left guard, helped Ravens rush for over 100 yards in 13-10 loss to undefeated Titans.

Alge Crumpler, Tennessee-Veteran tight end, in first year with Titans, caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in 13-10 win over Ravens, improving the Titans to 5-0.

Ronald Curry, Oakland-Veteran wide receiver in bye week with Oakland.

Ebenezer Ekuban, Denver - Veteran defensive end, who missed all of 2007 season recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, recorded four tackles and a sack in 16-13 win over Tampa Bay.

Greg Ellis, Dallas - Veteran linebacker recorded one interception in dramatic 31-22 win over the Bengals.

Madison Hedgecock, NY Giants - Fullback helped the Giants rush for over 200 yards in 44-6 rout of Seattle, improving New York to 5-0.

Vonnie Holliday, Miami - Veteran defensive end, entering 11th season in NFL, recorded two tackles and half a sack in 17-10 win over the Chargers.

Willie Parker, Pittsburgh - Experienced running back out in 26-21 win over Jacksonville due to a sprained knee.

Julius Peppers, Carolina - Veteran defensive end recorded one sack and forced a fumble in 34-0 rout over Kansas City Sunday.

Jeff Reed, Pittsburgh - Veteran place kicker converted two field goals in 26-21 win over Jacksonville.

Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis - Veteran center helped lead the Colts over the Texans 31-27, with 21 fourth-quarter points.

Gerald Sensabaugh, Jacksonville -Safety, who returned from shoulder injury after missing 14 games in 2007, recorded four tackles in 26-21 loss to Pittsburgh.

Ryan Sims, Tampa Bay - Defensive tackle, entering his seventh season in the NFL, recorded one tackle in 16-13 loss to Denver.

Hilee Taylor, Carolina - Rookie defensive end helped Panthers' rout Kansas City 34-0.
