Wallace Wright (29) describes his 23-yard score in the third quarter that gave Carolina the lead for good.

 Larry Edwards (32) had 8 solo and 4 assisted tackles, including three tackles for losses totally six yards. Edwards also forced a fumble.

 Matt Baker (7) was 16-31-2 through the air for 267 yards and two TDs.
Brandon Tate's (87) kickoff return for a TD was the first for Carolina since Michael Waddell returned one all the way against Wisconsin in 2003.

 Mike Mason (2) had four catches for a career-best 82 yards.

 Tommy Richardson (8) had five solo and five assisted tackles as well as two fumble recoveries. The Tar Heels travel to Louisville for a 4:30 p.m. game this Saturday.
