Coach Brewer talks to his corps of receivers. The Tar Heels gained 186 yards through the air.

The Carolina secondary gave up 309 yards passing and one touchdown. Julius Peppers, with two interceptions, remains the only Tar Heel to pick off a pass this season.

Philip Rivers tosses a 23-yard touchdown pass to Dovonte Edwards, who was an All-State receiver at Chapel Hill High last year. State's Adam Kiker missed the PAT to make the score 7-6 with 1:08 remaining in the first quarter.

Coach Bunting talks to the defense after State's touchdown. Carolina gave up 361 yards of total offense, but held State to a single-digit score for the first time in Chuck Amato's tenure at State.

It doesn't get much closer than this. The ball was ruled just short of a first down.

Ray Robinson picks up a 10-yard gain out to the State 37 midway through the second quarter. Robinson carried the ball 14 times for 68 yards.

Will Chapman recovers a Philip River's fumble on the State 39. River's fumble was caused by a blind-side hit by David Thornton.

This Darian Durant pass missed Sam Aiken, leaving UNC a 4th and four on the State 15. Jeff Reed's 32-yard field goal attempt on the next play bounced off the right upright, leaving the score at 7-6.
