Franklin St. at 9:15 on Saturday morning. Who could have guessed what would
happen later in the day at Kenan Stadium?

It turned out to be a gorgeous day for football in Chapel Hill. The early-morning
fog burned off, and the game was played in temperatures in the eighties.

The buses arrive at the Old Well in front of South Building for the pre-game
walk through campus.

A few of the players on the first bus wait to make the walk. Headphones are
not allowed as Coach Bunting wants the players to fully experience the moment.

Looking through the crowd of people waiting to greet the Tar Heels.

A large crowd, including the band, was out early to support the team. The walk
takes place 2 1/2 hours before kickoff.

Corey Holliday (front) and Julius Peppers make their way to the stadium.

The fans have a chance to see the players up close. The crowd was very
enthusiastic in their support of the Tar Heels.

Willie Parker, in the front, is slightly hobbled and was unable to play.
